About DebtRoute
Independent debt relief resource you can trust.
DebtRoute.com was built with one mission: help Americans find an honest, clear path out of debt — without the sales pressure, confusing jargon, or misleading claims that plague the debt relief industry.
About DebtRoute: Who We Are
We are an independent financial comparison website. We are not a lender, debt settlement company, or financial advisor. Our team researches and reviews debt relief options, consolidation loans, and balance transfer cards so you can make informed decisions, in line with guidance from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
We make money through affiliate commissions when you click our links and sign up for a service — but this never influences our editorial ratings. See our Affiliate Disclosure for full details.
How We Research
DebtRoute is run by a research team, not a call center. For several months, we’ve built every review and comparison on this site using the same method: data from primary sources – the CFPB, the Federal Reserve, AFCC standards, and BBB ratings, the U.S. Department of Education, and each company’s own official disclosures.
That same principle carries through every page: cite the primary source, disclose every affiliate relationship separately from the rating itself, and update the numbers whenever the underlying data changes.

Our Editorial Standards
We evaluate companies based on fees, accreditation, customer reviews, and settlement rates — not who pays us more.
Our top picks are based on merit. Companies cannot pay to be ranked #1 on DebtRoute.com.
We update our reviews when rates, fees, or company policies change so you always get current information.
We reference CFPB data, AFCC standards, and BBB ratings to back our analysis.
